In South Jakarta? Not sure if it's workable with 'official' TV cable provider but I remember receiving Indian channels by hiring small-scale TV providers. If you can't find it around then you may want to find if there's any in Sunter or Pasar Baru where ethnic Indians here live.

You should install a satellite disc. There are many free-to-air Indian channels. It cost around 1.5 million rupiah for the whole set of equipment and installation.

one thing u can do is u can have a sattellite dish and a decoder set, thru which u can have a few free to air hindi channels like- sony ent. , star utsav, sahara samay(news), national, and zee smile....and several south indian channels ....

and the other thing that can be done.... their is a provider called first media they provide many int. and indian channels..but it costs more..appx 700,0000 indonesian rupiah per month and also includes internet connection..if u need the contact no. of first media let me know, i,ll give it to u....

also if u need any other help/info. regarding indian products and any where to find questions....i,ll be happy to help...

Hi, i live in south jakarta and the cable provider here (the internet service provider Indoakses) for all the apartments in the building seems to have only one Indian channel (Star Utsav). We tried contacting the service provider in the building who seem to have no clue on what we could install in our apartment to get additional indian channels, only for our viewing since I guess they would not be comfortable changing it for the whole building/ all apartments based on our request. Any information on this, would be a great help. Thanks.
