    (3) .. can you provide a link to a sample integration letter?

    (4) If I understand it correctly, I will need to get a new 5-year SKLD (no STM according to Atlantis last year) from PolRes, then I have to go to CaPil and get my KTP-OA and KK, right? Did I forget something?

    (5) Has it changed with the new PP?
    (1) If you didn't make a copy of all documents before sending to Jakarta , then I think you need to ask for a copy at Kantor Imigrasi (in my case there was no such home visit letter/report , but Kantor Imigrasi asked for a Surat Keterangan Domisili , and it worked this way) .

    (2) I don't believe Kanim will do it .

    (3) See below a sample :

    1) I made a copy and the report is not there - they never visited us, either.

    2) Probably not, but it doesn't do any harm to try, especially since I know them so well.

    3) Thanks!

    4) As I understand it, once this whole mess is over, I can also apply for a 5 year SIM. Is that right?

    5) Okay!

BTW, marcus, do you think you could package up all your bookmarks for this site and make them available? That would probably be a big help to some people! (including me!) Have you ever considered becoming an agent and helping foreigners in real life?

    Namaste, peace & love,

I just wish to further stress the point made previously, Glenn, about the house visit which KanIm may or may not visit your home (based on the Domicile letter obtained from Kecamatan valid for 12 months). As Godfather, Anglian and myself have experienced, you are interviewed at the KanIm in both English and Indonesian and are then issued with a House Visit letter (whether the house visit happened or not) which forms part of the bundle you take to KanWil and DirJen plus the Integration letter of course.

DirJen are trying to make the system transparent a bit like DHL so that you can track everything online but it is far from operative in that way yet.

    1) And what about the Surat Keterangan Domisili (stating your address) ? I suppose you must send this Surat or ask Kantor Imigrasi to do the "Home Visit Report/Letter" .

    4) I guess so .

    6) I don't think it will help you more than what I am already doing .

    7) No . I could teach one of my many poor relatives , but until now , didn't find one suitable for that .

Sadly, when I submitted my case to KanIm, the middle manager friend there didn't know anything about the Surat Integrasi, so didn't want one. In one of the letters KanIm produced, they state they did a short interview with my wife, but no mention is made of our address being visited or confirmed in person. I was never asked for a letter of domicile, so that's a no, too.

I've filled out the integration letter and have that ready. I guess I'll have to make a new domicile letter since the one I got last year was only good for a few months. Thanks for the advice!

    (I'd still love your bookmarks!)
