    Default Going to Singapore

For those with lots of experiences going to Singapore, what's the best way to exchange $$? Bring Rupiah and exchange it there (bringing a small amount of Singapore $ from here for incidentals)? Or exchange it here? Or bring USD??

What's a good place to exchange currency? What's a bad place never to attempt?

    Thanks.

I think u better change ur money in Jkarta..... if u want to change it in SG, the best exchange rate would be in Rafles place (Clifford Centre) whhere u can see a lot of people queing........
Anyway the exchange rate wont be bad as long as u dont do it at the airport..... enjoy ur trip!!!!

For convenience, but without getting a bad deal, you might want to try the money changers in Lucky Plaza. It's located just next to Orchard (where the shopping belt is) MRT. And as hendry_ohe mentioned, try to avoid the money changers at the airport.

Lots of ATM machines in SG, similarly, lots of money changers here too. You get unfavourable currency rate by drawing out your money, so go to the money changers instead. Personally, I have not encountered a bad money changer (just avoid the ones at the airport) but if you need recommendations, I would recommend the money changer @ Mustafa Centre.

I would rather exchange it here in Indonesia, keep some hundreds of SGD in your pocket but prepare your debit/credit card too. The latter can be used almost everywhere. I used my Mandiri debit card to pay for my shopping but I guess it cost some tens of thousands of rups.

I hope you know already of the (financial) danger awaiting if you finally decide to exchange your duit at Sukarno-Hatta, Rabbit
