Biking in Bali

I wonder if there's someone who can help with this.
I love bicycle and I'm planning to take some time off and go to Bali - travel around Bali on my bike!
But I really don't know about the possibility of me getting hit by a truck or something. Is Bali save for biking?

I dont know if you want to join a bike tour or not, there are locals who run bike tours for tourists, they'll pick you up from your hotel as well and it includes lunch at a local house in a village.

KW, I tried this 2 months ago in Lombok - pretty fun and I survived, only that I almost dead when I tried to beat the elevation . But I don't think Bali is similar to Lombok, esp. the traffic, so I think you're right - safe and not really safe
