You can ask on either of her two threads or the post she made on another claiming to have simply visited this hotel salad based school.

The playgroup is free at this point as long as the parent comes with the child. I do not have a business.
Waldorf Education is an awesome, world-wide, independent educational movement. The name has nothing to do with the Waldorf salad, but comes from the name of the factory where the first Waldorf school was opened in Germany about 100 years ago. There is indeed a Waldorf school starting up in South Jakarta.

Good for you Dagmar. If I rent a kid can I bring her/him? Sounds like fun. Being the brother-in-law of a former Waldorf school teacher that practicaly makes me qualified.

We are new in Jakarta. I have two girls, ages 3 and 6. I really would like to send them to a Waldorf School, but there is no Waldorf School in Jakarta. So, I am contemplating homeschooling them. Is anyone on this forum homeschooling? We'd love to meet you.

You might also want to check out Dolanan Preschool behind Darmawangsa Square. It's a very small play-based pre-school with a very nice outdoor space and Indonesian-style building. I've enrolled my girls there recently and am quite happy. My girls have really connected with the teachers, which is what is most important for me. Their phone# is 720 8705 and the address is Jl. I am also interested in joining an Expat family group. There are all these women's group. What we need is a family group! We live in Pondok Indah with 2 girls, ages 3 and 6. I would be happy to host a meeting. I am in the process of making our house child-friendly...

Hi Dagmar,
You should started a mamas and darling groups here in Jakarta. It is nice to meet up group of mamas and young kids that has similar situation. You could check MADS manila and Shanghai mamas. They have fantastic website and programs. Also this kind of group can give a good support for new mamas, getting them to settle in town. All of the activities on these hroups are free, basically set up by members, just like you offering playdates and meet up.
