Default Exporting Indonesian cats to USA

I'm planning to go back to the US and I want to bring my cats with me. China Air said it'll be easier to use a Cargo/Shipping company for I will need lots of paperwork to prepare. Anybody has any experience with bringing cats to the US? I welcome any advice, tricks and tips from anybody out there. Thanks in advance for helping!

Yes using an agent would be a good idea as they know what to do and have experiences in this matter. Just make sure that your cats get all the vaccinations required especially the rabies one. Unfortunately I only have experience with Australia but I do know who might be able to help you. Contact jakpetz or groovy for further info.

The cats are updated with their vaccinations, including rabies. Thanks Nickie, I will contact the people you mentioned above.

Compared to most destinations, it is laughably simple to import cats or dogs to the US. No need to worry at all.

The one possible hitch is if the animals will travel through the EU and have a layover there. I believe that if the crate so much as touches the ground on EU soil, the animals within must meet EU requirements, which are a bit more stringent. For example, the animals have to be chipped.

The above is just a head's up for something you will want to check with Theresia. I may be incorrect, and/or the cats may not fly through the EU anyway. It shouldn't be TOO big a hassle in any case, but you may need to pay attention to the timing of rabies shots and, of course, getting the chips and documentation thereof.
