I was over 40 when hire to teach in Jakarta a few year ago. So, yes, you are employable even though middle-aged.

When putting yourself on offer, I would suggest a bit more care in the proof reading department, though.

    Default science teacher looking

Hi all! First post to this site. I am currently in China but I'm looking for a new post as a science teacher in Indonesia. I have been teaching for more than 9 years in Asia and I have IB/MYP experience in Beijing. Does anyone know of any schools that may be looking for a science teacher? Any leads would be greatly appreciated! I want to be out of Beijing before the cold and coal-dust starts setting in for the winter...

Any chance you are a chemistry teacher?
The challenge is to be yourself in a world that is trying to make you like everyone else.

STB-ACS http://www.acsjakarta.sch.id/ is looking for a Secondary Chemestry and Primary Science Teacher. Although the web site says "Indonesian who graduated from overseas preffered," you might want to send them a CV. I see as well from an ad in the Jakarta Globe that the British School http://www.bis.or.id/ is looking for a "Health and Safety Advisor." Maybe your cridentials match that one? Worth a look.

I have taught the MYP science program so I am fine with lower level Chemistry and Physics. But for any advanced levels, I would pretty much be able to only teach Biology related classes.
