Are you sure it wasn't FIFA that (allegedly) thanked Putin?
finally Russia got it and England missed out.
what about Indonesia? LOL.......
Are you sure it wasn't FIFA that (allegedly) thanked Putin?
It seems like the following counted against England:
1. too many good (not to mention famous) grounds - computer generated movies of futuristic stadia is what counts apparently
2. too many fans at home and too many interested in visiting some of the above mentioned famous ground - I am sure that the JakMania cant wait to visit Qatar!!
3. good transport infrastructure
4. too much experience of holding major sporting events
5. last and most importantly, too much free media for the corrupt FIFA Delegates
I'm looking forward to see the worldcup in Qatar...In june/july the average daytime high in most of Qatar is in excess of 40 °C and won't drop under 30 °C.... will they have airconditioned stadiums?
Nevermind how many aircon stadia they need to build, how many towns/cities are there in Qatar for the different groups? It's like giving the World Cup to Singapore.
I think that's a perfect example for Qatar and Singapore.
People moan about the corruption in Indonesia, Fifa makes this country look positively clean!
fifa can shove it up where the sun don't shine!
