Default Tom Epperson's biography, the speaker of this event

Please read Tom Epperson's biography, the speaker of this event:

Tom Epperson’s expertise goes beyond lights and lens - his signature is depth. A Tom Epperson photo, be it an intricate editorial or a simple headshot, immediately screams of a story captured within the image, and appeals to the senses and the imagination of anyone who sees it.

Tom is an American photographer who lived in Australia for 12 years and is currently based in the Philippines. This openness and diversity of culture is inherent in him and his works. He is a man that knows no boundaries to his craft, and applies his skill and passion to an extensive list of photography’s genres including, but not limited to, editorial, commercial advertising, high fashion, portrait, architecture and travel.

Tom bears an impressive resume, with many top local and international commercial campaigns for big established brands such as Nike, BMW, Philippine Airlines, San Miguel Beer, Ponds, Levi's, Shangri-la Hotel & Resorts, Timex and Unilever, Pizza Hut, and Shakey's.

Apart from this, his artistic prowess as a distinguished photographer is demonstrated in the many high profile art shows that feature him. His very first show entitled “One Light” consisted of 55 portraits, was the first photo exhibit ever hosted in the renowned Ayala Museum, one of the most famous cultural institutions of the Philippines. Showing truly inspired artistry, a month long trip to Mongolia moved him to create the two part “Frozen” series which were separately sponsored and hosted by industry giants, BMW Philippines and the Shangri La Philippines.

In 2009 Tom was the first Manila-based photographer to be invited for an exhibit at the Tyler Rollins Gallery located in the Chelsea district of New York. The exhibition “12 BELOW” featured the story of a Filipino family’s memorabilia literally frozen in blocks of ice and metaphorically, in time.

A master story teller in his own right, Tom Epperson is lodged as one of the most prominent names in Philippines photography and art scene, and continues to amaze and inspire without boundaries – here and abroad.
