  • WTB: Nonstick Madeleine Pan

    Hi All,

My wife is a housewife and in the baking mood this year. She have bake some delicious cupcakes, birthday cakes and now she wants to try to bake madeleine cakes.

Anyone in this forum knows where I can buy non-stick Madeleine pan in Jakarta would be grateful or can help me buy 2(two) pans from Amazon or in Singapore and bring to Jakarta. In return, I will be in US in October and I can return the same favor.

Please PM if you can help. Thank you in advance.

You could try Pantry Magic in Kemang.

Alternatively, I'd have a look in Ace Hardware and Informa at Living World Alam Sutera.

Otherwise, you can order from aliexpress.com. It's a cheap item so it won't incur import duty and if you buy the silicon variant, it will be cheap to ship because it's light. I've ordered several times from aliexpress and I've mostly never had any issue. The only time I had a problem with the vendor, aliexpress issued a full refund.

    Check it out: http://id.aliexpress.com/wholesale?c...Text=madeleine

Thanks El_Goretto. We have looked at most of the Ace Hardware and Informa in south Jakarta. Alam Sutera might have the pans???

I will visit aliexpress but not sure if safe to place an order as I have read very difficult to get your money back and poor customer service. But if you recommend this site, I feel better placing an order with them. Thanks again.

I don't really know if Informa and Ace in Alam Sutera have the pans but since they are the biggest in Indonesia, they might have a bigger selection. And while you are there, you can always check out IKEA which is a 5mn drive from Living World. Though from the IKEA website, it doesn't look like they have the pans you are after.

As for Ali Express, it's important to look at the seller's rating, just like eBay.

          Try asking http://www.lafelicitakitchen.com/ or http://www.tokoani.com/

Seem very common though the pattern is not exactly same. Please google with key word - cetakan kue - or more specific - cetakan kue cubit.
Then ask your wife to call the shop.
