  • Volunteer English teachers wanted

This is for anybody in Jakarta who wants to be a volunteer English teacher – whether you want references for another teaching position later, or whether you want to gain some experience, this is for you.

There is a wonderful English school, in Kelapa Gading; teaching English to mostly Chinese kids. The school could use a native speaker, or a fluent English speaker occasionally as a motivation and excitement for students. Whether you have a few hours a week or even just one hour a week you’d still be welcome. No experience necessary – just good English and enthusiasm.

If you are interested in helping underprivileged kids learn English in a fun please call Ms. Natalia at 896-6980-0639

Interested foreign volunteers , be alerted that , unless you fit in the #exception group bellow , you cannot work without a Work Permit (issued by the Indonesian Manpower Department for this specific work) + a work Visa/ITAS or work Visa/KITAS (even if working for free) , or you need to get a special permit from the Immigration Directorate General .

According to the Law , illegal working is considered a crime (up to 5 years in jail + a fine of up to Rp500 million) .

#exception group : foreigners married with Indonesians and holding KITAS/KITAP sponsored by the spouses and foreigners with KITAP sponsored by Indonesian father/mother/brother/sister .

Indonesian work regulation requires foreigners to have at least 5 years of work experience , but this kind of work experience probably will not be accepted .
