Job Title: Communications Specialist

Job Description:
Coordinate the implementation of all IndII communications activities. These include production of bilingual print and electronic materials, including a quarterly journal focused on infrastructure policy issues; events; public outreach campaigns, and collateral items.

Job Location: Ratu Plaza Office Tower, Jakarta

Responsibilities:
The day-to-day activities of the CS fall principally within three areas: overseeing all aspects of producing IndII’s bilingual technical journal, Prakarsa; providing high-quality Bahasa Indonesia and English language content through writing, editing, and overseeing the translation process; and ensuring that IndII’s Communications and Public Diplomacy Plan is implemented and, if necessary, updated.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
The ideal candidate will have:
· Demonstrated ability to write and edit Indonesian language communications materials within a technically focused bilateral development program.
· Demonstrated ability, at near-native levels, to write and edit English language communications materials within a technically focused bilateral development program.
· Demonstrated experience with all facets of production of in-house publications.
· Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-cultural environment.
· Strong knowledge of and understanding of the Indonesian context, especially with regard to development and infrastructure finance.
· Basic knowledge of journalistic and design/layout conventions.
· Familiarity with Macintosh computers and software, especially InDesign.
· Prior experience with website development, video production, use of social media, and/or events planning.
· Bachelor's degree in relevant field; graduate degree a plus.
