  • 2 bulgaians arrested in sukawati bali

    Police have taken two Bulgarians into custody at the Sukawati Police Precinct on suspicion of their involvement in an effort to rob money from a Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) ATM located at the Coco Mart in Batubulan, Sukawati in the early hours of Saturday, June 25, 2016.

    I read this in the Sanur times - seems that eastern Europeans are now spearheading this sort of cyber crime here in Bali.

          Just to clarify the Story, they were not trying to rob the ATM machine, they are trying to install skimming equipment. This has become quite a large problem in Bali, tourists use the machine, card gets cloned, money withdrawn and they don't realise until they get home. It has happened to several people I know here and I now only use ATM's that are at a bank. Here are a couple of links of guys being busted and jailed for it
