  • Income Tax PPH21

    Hey guys,

i would like to give some explanations related with PPH21 tax for any expatriates who live in Indonesia

Though most of people already pay tax on their country, it's important for any expatriates to know about PPH21

PPH21 is a regulation conducted by Indonesian government about the amount of tax that we need to pay based on our fee

Most of expatriates may fulfill their duty for tax by assigning personal tax on their country. However, one of the requirements to make KITA (Temporary stay permission) is by making NPWP

To know about how much tax that we need to pay, we need to know about PPH21. The tax calculation is based on these rules:
    - 5 % for people who get income for the first 50 million Rupiahs in a year
    - 15 % for people who get income between 50 million - 250 million Rupiahs in a year
    - 25 % for people who get income between 250 million - 500 million Rupiahs in a year
    - 30 % for people who get income above 500 million Rupiahs

Based on the explanation above, it's really important for everyone to knows about the amount of tax that they should pay. Therefore, youc can find it through above.

*Note: It's only valid for foreigners that work over than 6 months in Indonesia

    (b) ... one of the requirements to makeKITA (Temporary stay permission) is by making NPWP

    (c) - 5 % for people who get fee around 50 million Rupiahs in a year
    - 15 % for people who get fee around 50 million - 250 million Rupiahs in a year
    - 25 % for people who get fee around 250 million - 500 million Rupiahs in a year
    - 30 % for people who get fee above 500 million Rupiahs
    .....

    (a) income , not fee .

    (b) This requirement is only for foreigners who will work for more than 6 months in Indonesia . There are many other 'types" of KITAS (or e-ITAS) that are not for work .

    (c) You wrote it wrongly . It is : 5% for the first 50 million of your income , 15% for the income part between 50 million up to 250 million , 25% of the income part between 250 million and 500 million , and 30% for the income part above 500 million .
