  • Diabetic friendly foods?

I have an aunt who lives in Tebet. She recently had an episode which required her to visit an emergency room. Hopefully, this has woken her up to the seriousness of her condition.

In the short-time, does anyone know of a store that might have diabetic-friendly foods? I would also be interested in someone who caters in the area.

Hi, I am a type 2 diabetic too.
First of all, the most important is to consult to diabetic specialist doctor.
The diet will depends on how bad her condition is.

After her blood sugar and Hba1c are stabilizing, then she can start a healthy living with of course reducing sugar and carbohydrates. She must consult a healthy diet with her doctor as well - because who knows maybe she got other conditions such as high blood pressure.

For me, according to my doctor, I can eat anything as long as not too much and must exercise. A strict diet also not good; tend to fail in the long run.
Some sugar-free foods, such as from Tropicana Slim, are also available in major supermarkets. Sometimes, we just crave with sweets; and these sugar-free foods can helps.

Is it easy to find sugarfree or low sugar foods in Copenhagen? Are there any places for sweets (chocolate or ice creams)?
