Cost of living/ salary expectation

Hi all,

Got an offer at a tourism tech startup in Jakarta, wondering how much is senior manager level salary I should ask for. Moving my wife and our 2 children (age 13 and 9) for middle school and high school in english speaking school - since the kids may return to US for college.

Looking for information about average expenses for renting 4 BR house, maybe car payments, and after school activities such as swimming, or music lessons, etc.

At the moment, my wife and I run on 200k combined income yearly. Although we may rely on my salary to start with going forward. Any pointers will be much appreciated! Thank you all!

(1) I have no idea about it .

(2) I don't know , but you can have an idea of that by searching for (or something similar) : "sewa rumah 4 kamar tidur di Jakarta" (it is recommended to live near your kids school and/or your work office , so better specify the area in Jakarta - you may also consider the proximity to the public transport like metro, light metro, rapid transit bus) .

(4) Search for : "sekolah renang di Jakarta" , "sekola musik di Jakarta" , "guru privat renang" , "guru privat musik di Jakarta" (as Jakarta is big and with many traffic congestions , better specify the area , like South Jakarta , ..) .

School and housing will be your biggest expenses. Lifestyle choices will determine all your costs. The more you want to recreate your normal lifestyle (from your home country), which may mean eating imported goods, etc. the more your monthly expenses will be.
