  • [HOW-TO] Upload pictures to Flickr and post on the forum

    [SIZE=4]**************UPDATE2****************

    [/SIZE]
    Since imgur.com is more or less banned in Indonesia, you can use www.ultraimg.com. It works similarly to imgur, just pick "BBCode embed" from the drop down menu and copy paste syntax below.[SIZE=4]

    **************UPDATE*****************[/SIZE]

    There is a much simpler way by using http://imgur.com.

    Step 1:

    Go to http://imgur.com

    Step 2:

    Upload the image from your computer (either by drag and drop or by clicking "computer"), or from the web (click "web").

    Step 3:

    Click "start upload"

    Step 4:

    Once the upload is finish, grab the BBCode from the right side of the page and paste it directly into your message on the forum.

    Et voila!

    Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to upload pictures to Flickr and then post these pictures on the forum.

    [SIZE=4]Step 1 - Create an account on Flickr.com[/SIZE]

    [SIZE=2]If you already have a Flickr account, please move to step 2[/SIZE]

    Go to www.flickr.com and click the "sign up now" button.

    A new window appears. You can choose to sign in with your Facebook account or your Google account or you can create a new yahoo ID all together. Whichever way you choose, simply follow the prompts.

    [SIZE=4]Step 2 - Sign in to your Flickr.com account[/SIZE]

    This should be easy. Go to www.flickr.com.

    If you are not signed in yet you should see something like this:

    If so, click sign-in at the top right and you should get to this screen:

    If you created your Flickr account with a Yahoo ID, simply put your Yahoo email address and password in the appropriate fields and click "Sign in".

    Once signed in, you should see a screen similar to this:

    [SIZE=3]Step 3 - Upload some pictures to Flickr[/SIZE]

    Click on "Upload Photos & Videos"

    Then click on "Choose photos and videos"

    Navigate to the folder where your picture is, select the picture and click "open"

    Make sure "Public" is ticked and click "Upload Photos & Videos".

      The picture will upload...

      After it's uploaded, click on "You" in the top left corner and you will get a screen similar to this:

      [SIZE=3]Step 4 - Post the picture on the forum
      [/SIZE]

      Then click on your newly uploaded picture (in this case, click on Chuck Norris*)

      Click on the "Share" button just above the picture and select "Grab HTML/BB Code"

      Choose your size and make sure "BB Code" is selected and then select and copy the code in the box.

      [SIZE=1]*You don't click Chuck Norris, Chuck Norris clicks you before roundhouse kicking you in the face.[/SIZE]

        Paste the code into your post and after you submit your post, the image appears like this:

        Mission accomplished!

              Sounds pretty easy the way you explained the process. According to Murphy, there is a way to screw it up and I will likely find it.

                I wonder if my "test" will work ...

                Amazing -- It worked. But how do you paste in a photo without the caption below?

                Added Later: EG, thanks again. Per your post #9 caption deleted. I feel powerful, now.

                  When you paste the code, delete everything but only keep what is between the [IMG] and the [/IMG] tags including the [IMG] and [/IMG]

                    can I suggest you get some kind of auto shrink photo size on your forum? It's a total pain trying to post a pic otherwise
