  • Internship in house building/furniture/wood sector

    Hello,

I study business admininstration and Bahasa in Germany and included in our study is an internship for six months in Indonesia, before I will study Bahasa at Gadjah-Mada University in Yogya. I also made an apprenticeship as house carpenter and now I would like to combine these competencies. I am looking for an internship in house building, furniture or wood industry in Indonesia.

It would be great if somebody here has some contact adresses or other tips where I could get an internship in this sector.
    Thanks!

    Best regards,

    Daniel

Daniel , from what I know from the : Indonesian Immigration Law , Indonesian Work Law , and few Indonesian Immigration and Work Regulations , you cannot legally do that (supposing you are not Indonesian) . As far as I know only Australian citizens can do that due to an Australian & Indonesian governments' agreement . For other non-Indonesian citizens , it is a crime (up to 5 years in jail) to do that , in my view .

      Hi Marcus,

I am looking for international companies, not for local companies. I think with local companies its almost impossible to work in Indonesia.

      Best regards,

      Daniel

It doesn't matter , the Indonesian Laws are applicable to all companies (locals and Internationals) in Indonesia in the same way , there is no discrimination .
