  • College credit while in high school?

When I was in high school, I took a few Advanced Placement (AP) classes. Students could take the class and then take a test. If scores were high enough, they could exempt out of certain coursework. I think I exempted out of three classes that way.

I am looking into Sampoerna Academy for my high school student. I am not sure for which classes at his age group, but they are going to offer some dual credit classes where they give them high school credit and they can get community college credit from a community college out in Florida.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you who are parents have any experience with dual credit classes? I am new to having a high school student. This is my first one to reach this age. How common is the dual credit thing? Do they usually charge parents for this in the US?

I don't know anything about it . Maybe you could (if you didn't do it already) post the same in other websites like : www.americansinindonesia.org/ , https://www.internations.org/indonesia-expats/americans , www.expatsblog.com/portal/american/in/indonesia , or similar
