Can i switch orthodontist?

I was put on my braces last month first i paid SGD400 without any cleaning teeth. Then i'm not convenience to this dental clinic i want to switch new clinic. I was talking with my orthodontist i want to swicth she said i can't do it if i do i have to pay more SGD400 before you switch and can't get anything from clinic such My my Dental Model. Is it true? I can't switch orthodontist? Should i have to pay more SGD400 before leave from the clinic that i felt inconvenience. Can anyone give me suggestion?
