The guy is selling by 20 feet container minimum. If you need that much I suggest that you stop trusting your favorite kaki lima.

Agreed. Though there is little chance that the ad may be of interest for the expat community at large, it is not a spam per se.

            Email collecting?

I'd like to know how he's able to sell for that price. I recently contacted the second biggest paper company in the world and they gave me a price on a 20ft container load FOB Singapore $2.22 per ream. When I informed them my buyers target price was a dollar less than their price, they told me that wouldn't even pay for the cost of pulp. Although I find it hard to believe pulp for one ream costs more than $1.20 I find it a lot less to believe this offer here is for real. .80 cents CIF? To boot why would the cost be the same no matter where it is being shipped?

So to Carick, how are you able to keep the price down so low? Where is it being manufactured? Do you collect it falling off the back of trucks?

                        A-4 photocopy paper

it is more than 6 months and i have contacted more than 500 suppliers in China, Thailand and Indonesia, all scampers gave me prices for A4 Paper for photocopy purpose 80 gsm 104% brightness A Grade paper. i met 465 scampers out of 500 suppliers who gave me prices less than 1.5 USD, guys be careful if some one gives you prices less than 1.5 USD it means scamer are there and if less than 2 USD it means low quality paper is there but actually the price should be from 2.28 USD onward

Hey, guys, this is Asia. A lot of things are "dumped" by selling below market rates. The key question is not necessarily honesty (that's why L/Cs were invented) but what did the paper cost the seller? Maybe it was a production overrun, maybe the quality is lacking in some way (folds, nicks, whatever -- promises of brightness say nothing about fading, promises of "no jamming" are only one factor) and the original buyer rejected it so it's worthless unless "dumped".

Malioboro Street in Yogya is full of clothing items that were off-color or off-size or off-whatever from the specs originally agreed upon and the local manufacturer will be stuck unless they can get rid of it.

If McD sells a ratio of white meat to dark meat in the US that is much higher than a chicken "produces", then they are in a position to "dump" dark meat as a zero-cost item, which happened to the chagrin of Indonesian chicken farmers some years ago.

                          Many, many examples.
