I know this is the internet - the men are men, the women are men and the children are law enforcement - but is it considered poor form to ask an Indonesian BM what sex they are ? No hidden agenda here, but I like to know whether I'm addressing a male or female, and I can usually work that out with the majority of Westerners on the board but not so readily from the Indonesians in some cases. I'm a typically blunt Aussie male, but I also dont want to offend someone by asking them whether they are male or female. Checked a couple of profiles and am none the wiser :D

Or I will be "fromChicago" when I arrive, in about two months. I am finishing a Master's in International Relations and have a job lined up that starts in January 2014. My gf was coming with me, we had plans to come this summer and hang out and goof off until my job starts. But we broke up last month :sad: so I'm still figuring out what to do. I kinda only want to party and relax for a while, to be honest. Graduate school was hard work and its no fun finishing everything while a relationship is breaking apart. So,,,time to relax.

Anyway when I arrive I plan to hang out in Nusa Dua for a couple of weeks, then hit Jakarta. Any suggestions for where I should stay? My employer is giving me housing up at Pakobuano (spelling?) but that won't start until January. So I will need someplace on my own dime until then. Dont want superexpensive but it doesn't have to be real cheap. Oops I guess I shouldnt ask here this is "personal" forum. Maybe Ill post again in other places. I'm fairly new at this, and what I'm about to tell you all is something I NEVER TOLD anyone.

I really don't know how it started, but I'm in deep shit.
Okay, here it goes.

I have a girlfriend. She's Indonesian, she's amazing, caring, smart, beautiful (ohh, very). Anyway, the first time we did "it", everything was great, but then at one point, I couldn't get it up anymore. It might be because of too much foreplay? Or something else. The thing is, I am awfully attracted to guys too. Now, I really don't know if that's the reason I couldn't completely satisfy her, but let's consider that.
Hmmmm...it all started when I was younger. Long story short, me and a friend would play around and show eachother's. You know the feeling of a rush? That kind when you're gonna have sex? I feel that everytime we "played". Nothing really happened there, but I think that's how it started. I haven't really given this much thought, cause as far as I'm concerned, I'm happy as I am. Well, I'm figuring that out now.
Secretly, I watch gay porn. I guess that's part of "figuring it out", but I don't feel good about this whole thing really. I think the idea scares me. I only have had girls in my life, and the idea of another guy is just plain nauseating (but I guess at the back of my head, I'd give it a shot - for scientific purposes). I'm not saying I'm good looking, but I always get compliments here and there (Not really worth mentioning, but in a bigger picture - that adds up).

So, if I could just get an advice, What do you think? Should I break her the news and try somethin new? Or prolly just weigh pros and cons first..
I honestly don't think I'm gay. That's for sure, but I guess I'm curious.

By the way, I'm not Indonesian. I travel a lot, but this time, I might stay here in Jakarta for quite some time. Gave this a shot, at least I won't have the burden of keepin them all locked up.
