I got there last Thursday and I was pleasantly surprised albeit late. Indeed, the museums all close at 3pm and I got there after visiting Sari Bundo. Nonetheless, and despite the rain, I thought this area of Jakarta as very interesting and full of potential. I really hope that Pak Jokowi and Pak Basuki will hold their promise of reviving this historical area of the Indonesian capital.

This is definitely not an exhaustive overview of Kota Tua but I thought I'd share some pictures I took there that day.

My name is Rick i am Italian, 36 yo professional living in Jakarta since 2011 and i will stay here hopefully long time.
I enjoy music and expecially rock, i have a bunch of original songs of mine recorded and mastered professionally in Italy and Usa.
The genre is between motorhead, black sabbath, 70s rock and 90s sounds.

Here in Jakarta i would love to meet musicians both local and expatriate to join my band and play live gigs in cool venues.
I play guitar and bass but in this project i will only sing.
I am looking for 1 rithmic guitarist, 1 solo guitarist, 1 drummer, 1 bassist.

Requirements are:
1) age 25++
2) males females welcome
3) has good technique, songs are not that difficult but need some rock skills.
4) good instruments and amplifiers
5) right attitude
6) your english should be better than my indonesian!

I have a job, i am not doing this for money but the attitude is anyway professional.

For local musician expecially, i am not paying you to join me to make it clear since the start, but if we get paid to play we are
going to share everything as good friends, that is the way i like it.

I used to play in a "just for fun" band ages ago. Haven't played in a band, neither was I playing drums, for the last 18 years.
Recently I started to think that it would be fun to play in a band again. Again "just for fun".
Is there anybody else who has same thoughts?
I am a 40 years old male (expat). Not the best drummer, but also not the worst, hehehe.
