Hi
I was wondering if anyone has any advice regarding Wii's...?
I know the best places to go to, Ratu Plaza, Manga Dua etc. but from what I understand there are 2 versions...one which plays most copied games, one which plays only a few copied games...someone suggested they were the US vs. Japanese version.
Also what is the price approximately?
I bought one in Mall Ambasador, Kuningan. But sorry it's been a year ago so I don't really know about the price now.

are you referring to having your wii "modded"?? if you buy in mangga dua or someplace similar they should be able to do that there for around an extra 50 bucks or so.
without having the mod chip added you can't play pirated games.
the other one is also there are two different wii versions PAL and NTSC, the same as DVD players and it depends on where you'll be using the wii as to which one you buy and which mod chip you decide to add.
i *think* indonesia is PAL?? you should just use games with this region. i imagine if you're buying pirated games later they will just sell the ones based on your current region.
congrats if you decide to purchase one, nintendo wiis are a LOT of fun and (warning) super addictive.

We always buy games from here

But I bought the Wii Fit in Ratu plaza. When you buy the Wii console, it will included few games ( copy games), so not bother asking if it can play copy game or not...its obviously can.
by the way, also if you have a computer and fast enough internet connection you can download the games yourself. the file sizes are often quite large (around 4-5gig). if you're interested let me know and i can walk you though what extra programs you'll need to download and the process. the first time is a little confusing but after that it's a breeze.

If you're using component cables it probably wouldn't matter if it's a US or Asian WII (PAL or NTSC) version. This assumes you're outputting everything to a 720p or 1080p or higher HD TV.
