A quick question: what are the conditions for individuals to become a member of the Indonesian-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry?

I was hoping to become one of the (very) few people able to answer a question for Atlantis. So I scoured the IFCCI website, but could only find reference to corporate membership; the cheapest being for an Indonesian Company @ Rp2,000,000pa (not so bad). Guess someone is going to have to send them an email ([email protected]) in French (otherwise they won't answer).

Why wouldn't they reply to inquiries in English? The ad is in English, even the organization's name is in English.;)

even though we are French Chamber it doesn't mean that we don't communicate in English :) in fact our internal policy requires us to communicate in English for every email and or publication material that we publish.

to answer your question regarding individual membership, we do have some members registered for that category. There are no particular requirements to register. As long as you are interested in becoming part of French community you can register to us. Furthermore, we did not inform the individual category in our website since we would like to suggest that it would be beneficial for them to register as corporate member rather than individual. Here are few differentiations between individual and corporate member:

Individual = 150 Euro + 100 Euro for entrance fee (no corporate matter involved)
1. Networking
2. Free Information (Weekly Newsletter)
3. Invitation to join IFCCI event in members’ price
4. Receive 1 Directory Book, 1 UCCIFE card and calendars

Corporate member (Indonesian company) = 2.000.000 IDR and free entrance fee (all the employees from the corporate is considered as member)
1. 1 full company profile in IFCCI Directory Book
2. Free company advertisement by Email Blast 1 time per year
3. Receive 1 IFCCI Directory Book, UCCIFE card and Calendars
4. FREE ENTRANCE FEE of 100 €
5. Free Business and legal advice

Now that the ifcci have formally divulgated the relevant information, you'll quickly notice that your "exquisite wine and cheese" is cheaper via Indonesian company rather than individual membership. So if your wife doesn't have a co, you're welcome to become an honorary member of my PMA <in return for cleaning out one of our (larger) chicken coops twice year>.
