I am a Dentist with an Indian Educational Degree - Bachelors of Dental Surgery i.e. B.D.S. The program includes a four-year classroom session and a 1-year Internship program for clinical hands on learning experience. I have been practicing now for 5 years.

I would like to find out regarding the opportunities of working as a Dentist in Indonesia. I would like to know, based on the educational background and the work experience, what are the professional opportunities that are available.

I would also like to know if I have to appear for any examination in order to obtain a license to practice in Indonesia.

It would be of great help if you could help revert on my above query asap.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi,
You have posted the same question two months ago and we have answered to it. The law has unfortunately not changed in the past couple of months. Working as a dentist is strictly an indonesian priviledge and it is forbidden by law for any foreigner to work in a medical profession. The professional opportunities, for a foreigner, are nil and you can NOT have a license to practice in Indonesia. Jail and deportation would be your reward should you decide to ignore the law and its stipulations.
