Yamaha's new scoot

Interesting move by Yamaha who are releasing a much more powerful skutermatik on to the Indonesian market. Named the Xeon, this looks to me like a tarted up Nuovo chassis but with a new (for Indo, anyway) liquid cooled 125cc engine that develops one horse more than the current Suzuki Skywave/Spin engine and quite a lot more power than the Vario - which it is obviously pitched against. Also comes with the same under-seat storage space as the old Nuovo which is at least as roomy as the Skywave.

If it all works in the metal as well as is claimed on paper then this could be a market leader - though only time will tell.

Do you know what the Xeon weighs? My wife liked the MIO because it is light enough for her, a petite woman, to handle.
