View Full Version : Recommendations: 3-star hotel & business centre
Selemat pagi :)
I will eventually move to Jakarta in mid-Oct. I am looking for a 3-star hotel in the US$40 per night range (after substantial discount negotiated for long term) with a functioning business centre attached. I intend to stay in the hotel for 2 months or more before I get settled permanently. Any recommendations? I have checked a few on websites (wotif and asiarooms), eg Hotel Ibis, Willtop and Arcadia. Any others worth recommending? All advice greatly appreciated. thanks.

I am used to stay at Aryaduta Hotel (http://jakarta.aryaduta.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp) when in JKT. They are part of Hyatt hotel, centrally located, good quality, Internet in the room (lan and wifi connection), good buffet breakfast, pool, fitness, sauna & open air jacuzzi. Still have intimate atmosphere with friendly staff. They maybe a little above your target price, but worth to investigate what it would be for long term rental. Contact them directly, using the link. They will propose you two types of room. Deluxe and Superior. Ask for the bigger one (never remenber which one it is !!!). There is not that much of difference in terms of rates but are much more suitable for a long stay and newly refurbished. They offer a USD 55 deal for WNI and KITAS holder on voucher basis through Kaha Resevation. They certainly offer an even cheaper rate for long term rental. 5 stars hotel for the price of a 3 stars.
They even have an heliport on the roof to avoid the traffic !:)
Handy if you happen to own a helicopter, but not a lot of use otherwise..
If unfortunately (;)) you don't own an helicopter, PT Indonesia Air Transport (http://www.iat.co.id/), Gatari Air Services or PT Pelita Air Services will be glad to rent/charter it (Pilot provided) to you. They won't beat Blue Bird or DAMRI but it is not "that expensive" if you happen to be a small group of people on a business visit.
Booking enquiries can be made at the reception or directly to the companies.
I don't see the point in renting it yourself and getting someone else to fly it...
You may allow to fly it yourself...
Erm... Blue Bird does not land on the roof but alway have a few cab at the entrance. Since I am highly prone to vertigo I may choose to stay grounded... No offence, I don't doubt in your qualities as a pilot... This is just this vertigo thing.
3/4 star hotels with $40 budget, pretty sure they got biz centre part of their services and amenities:
Golden Boutique Angkasa
Twin Plaza Hotel
Harris Hotel
Ibis Hotel
Millenium Sirih
Willtop hotel
Or check out this travel agent below

But, I have not stay in any hotel above, since they not part of the deal with the company.
Aryaduta Hyatt was ok, Hilton or Sultan Jakarta was allright with me, both, I stayed there before.
Wish u luck:)
