Lots. In most western countries tape is pretty much a dead format. Who the hell wants noise infested low quality playback with a low output when there are such good quality MP3 versions available?
Out here I see a lot of new players available and a good few shops selling the tapes.
Give it another couple of years for computers to become affordable to the masses and you will see tape die a death.

I use my old tapes for telltales on my boat. (because they flutter in the breeze nicely)
