View Full Version : google chrome browser
Have anyone try the brand new googlechrome (beta) yet?
I find it super! Fast and no need to type google.com if you like to search something, simply write the keyword in address bar :D

hei ... thanks for the info ... i try it ... and well yeah you are right ... it is much faster ...
Chrome seems like an interesting idea and they executed it well. I'm glad to see somebody took a different approach to making Web Browsers.
I don't know if I could survive without my Ad-Block Plus on the Internets though :(

p.s.
Head to Here (http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-xp/) to get the Nightly Builds of Google Chromium (essentially what Chrome is built on)
Anyone could explain me what this super googlechrome beta is about ? I've tried Paman's link but it isn't valid anymore. I've got a full page of directory!?
In what is it different from google.com ? Is it a sort of widget such as the Google address bar or something like it ? Thanks for any answer.:D

Google Chrome is web browser, developed by Google. It is built to be super fast Javascript rendering. Javascript is one of the main techniques of rendering on which Google services (gmail, Google Calendar, etc) is based around.
What makes Google DIFFERENT, is that is treats each separate tab as a different process. So unlike Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Opera (Which is another VERY excellent browser if I might add), if one tab crashes in Chrome, it will not render the rest of the browser completely useless.
Now it's not all daisies and celebrations. One of the big issues with Chrome, is the fact that it does a horrible job of managing Flash based things (Youtube, Hulu, etc) when you have multiple tabs open. It almost renders the application useless, even though with its claims that each tab has a separate process.
Now I know thats probably more than you wanted to know about, but I love the subject :)
If your interested in trying other web-browsers might I suggest the following (in order of preference):
- Firefox (www.Firefox.com)
- Google Chrome (www.google.com/chrome/)
- Opera (www.opera.com)
Have a good day! :)

Try Firefox 3.1. You will notice a minimal difference in speed, between Chrome and FF3.1.
Not to mention the add-ons for FF that just basically makes it priceless ;)
im using safari, how is it compare to firefox? any comments?

It's just perfect, Paman... I can see that you are more than confortable with the topic and know now who I should rely on now when I have trouble with my laptop... :)

What I rely on the most with any browser is the google bookmarks option. I have more than 1 computer thus using google bookmarks I do not have to update bookmarks per computer just login fom any computer and they are there.
What I found ridiculous about Google Chrome was Google bookmarks was not available (at least 3 or 4 weeks ago). I like FF 3.0 but as for FF 3.1 it said if I upgraded google bookmakrs add-on was not available thus I have not upgraded yet.
