hey all
i'm new to the city (and country) and have designs on purchasing a bicycle.
so far i have visited the giant bike shop on jl tegal sarai and rodalink shop on jl brigjen sudiarto. both places only offered new bikes and the vast majority of them were out of my price range.
i'm looking to spend ~2juta but can be flexible dependent on finding something that's a good fit. i'm relatively tall by indonesian standards (~189cm) and i realize this may limit my options. what i'd really like is a half decent road bike with drop handlebars.. age isn't an issue as long as the bike is in decent condition. in lieu of that, a hybrid road/mtb would work as well.
i have heard tell that there is a "bicycle market" somewhere in semarang but no one i've asked has been able to provide me with any more information than that such a place exists. so how about it, semarangers? any bright ideas or suggestions? i have also found listings for two more bike shops:
