TV channels

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what sort of tv is available in Batam? Are there any English language channels at all?

I can get English news at 7am on Metro TV and at 6pm on TVRI.
There are usually English language films on several channels each evening.
After that it's a dish (10 foot). Mine was 1 million and that's it. Gets all the Indonesian programs for my wife (it's primary reason) and a few English language news channels as well as many an English film on several chinese and arabic stations.
Other, smaller dishes are available with pay per view stations but cover much more including football.

No idea. Have to ask someone not so tight as me and willing to pay for the extra channels. Sorry.

Their customer service is appalling but Indovision offer a satellite service which includes quite a few English language channels.
