Talk about showing who you are. I'm going to look on the rosey side and assume you just made a huge mistake in the Pondok Indah Fitness thread. Do you wear glasses and or are you considered clinicaly blind? Call em as you see it?
Here is a lady who states she has been in the country for only three weeks and is looking for some English speaking ladies to get together with her. You accuse her of being racist because she isn't seeking Indonesian ladies who speak English because of it? It doesn't make sense. Never once did she say she wasn't open to meeting Indonesian ladies or gents for that matter. It's rather easy to meet the latter. They are everywhere but not so easy to find the former and she thought the Forum might be a good means to meet them, which it may or may not be. I certainly think a newbie would think it would be and rightly so. My oh my heaven forbid a young lady new to this country would seek out women from her own culture. How odd that must seem to you. By the way, I have met Indonesians and plenty of other "foreigners" who only seek out "their own kind", clearly not Princess' intentions, in countries they live in that aren't their own. That's not my cup of tea but I wouldn't be such a fool to call them racist because of it.
Your assumption she only has hired help as Indonesian friends because of her desire to do a little shopping is ridiculous. If I have misunderstood that I appologize and would appreciate a correction. Wipes, imported or otherwise? So what. I take it you have never bought nor even desired something that is an import in this country? Again whats your point of even mentioning it? I've been in this country for years. I don't know definatively why "big name" performers don't come here to put on their shows. Does it have to do with poor venues? Funds are lacking to make it worth their while? They are worried about a terrorist attack? Please let all of us morons and liars know the reason.
Her boyfriend is here and was described as an expat which may mean he has been here for a while and has established relationships with people, Indonesian and Foreign. I will go out on a limb here and suggest most and possibly all of the Indonesian friends she says she has, came through him. Regardless, there is not even the slightest indication from her posts to suggest she is a liar. To call her a liar or even intimate she might be, is objectionable at the least. It's rude and equally obtuse.
The criticism of her written English and assumption she attended a certain quality of school, as if that is important, is petty, elitist and snobbish. It's possible but not probable she has a form of dyslexia (No ill intended towards you Princess) or her spelling and grammer isn't of the highest quality. So what. What is your point you are trying to hammer home by picking on it? You want a goldstar? The content is what counts.
She didn't come into the Forum to put anyone down and that is exactly what she got from you. What a welcome. I have never in all the years being in the Forum, seen such a lambasting of someone, especially a newbie, who so lacked deserving it.
I don't know you and am not at this point about to judge your overall character but I will say in this specific case, right twat, comes to mind. If you aren't ashamed by your response to Princess, I can't wait to hear your defense why your not. There is no point in repeating what you wrote in your posts. If that is all you have going for your stance, don't bother. It couldn't even be considered strong enough to be limp.
