Hello Everyone,

My name is Natalia,I,m spanish. My boyfriend ( British) and I have been relocated to Jackarta (from Shanghai) with a very short notice. It.s seems that we will be living in Mega Kuningan.

My Bf is the one who iwill be working and myself the one who is going to have to look for things to do... ( LOTS OF THINGS) and being honest I have no clue what is out there...

My firsts thought went on the line of
1. Learning Bahasa ( immediately came a question WHERE???)
2. Play some sports, I use to play Volley and I would like to find a team, any one out there? Also I always wanted to learn how to play tennis,
so again, any suggestions on clubs or good tennis coachs.
3. I would like to keep practicing Yoga, so a nice studio recommendation will be appreciated .

that's all for now.

Thank you for the help.

Hi Addaya...for number 3, there are many Yoga Studios here..
I ever helped the translation of yoga for 1 place, located in Apartemen Menarabudi, Jalan ( Street ) Haji Cokong, Setiabudi Kuningan, about 20 minutes from Mega Kuningan if there's no traffic.

And also, in Kemang Area, at Sabero House, Jalan ( Street ) Kemang Raya, South Jakarta, there is a yoga studio too...about 30-45 minutes from Mega Kuningan..

Hope this helps...

Doing a few weeks of language learning when arriving in Indonesia is almost like a rite of passage. Plus youŽll get to see other another side, a more traditional side of Indonesia, before settling in Jakarta. I studied at Wisma Bahasa in Yogya, and they were first-rate and really nice folk!

Be advised that you will probably have to use a 30 day tourist visas for yourself since you are not being sponsored by an employer. That means every 30 days you will need to take a day trip overseas, typically to Singapore and come back on another tourist visa.

A tourist visa (visa kunjungan wisata) would be a more economic choice or a visa kunjungan sosial budaya, sponsored by any Indonesian or by an agent would also do it. The former would allow a stay of 60 days before having to exit while the latter would allow a first stay of 60 days followed by 4 potential extensions, each of 30 days.
