What is yerba mate?

Yerba* Mate is a South American herb, common and popular in the River Plate region, that is infused to make a tea-like concoction.

I have no idea where to get in it many parts of Latin America outside the River Plate region, let alone in Southeast Asia, let alone in Indonesia!. My suggestion is to leave the Yerba Mate for South America, and to enjoy Indonesia´s natural herbal bounties.
