I'll tell you! We've "upgraded" the look slightly to a much softer set of icons. As soft as silk (http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/) in fact! If you notice an icon that is out of place or seems not apparently obvious what the function is, please send me an email about it. I know I've missed a few, but I will get to those soon enough! My next goal (after the eradication of default icons is complete!) is an expanded set of Smilies.

We've also recently upgraded to a newer version of vBulletin, so if you notice anything funky/weird/wacky/odd, please let me know as soon as you can.

Cheers.

P.S.
Here is an index of all the possible icons (http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/previews/index_abc.png) from FamFamFam's Silk Icon set for those interested.

Two interesting new features that have been added with the upgrade are:

- The possibility of reporting a PM received with the http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.org/images/buttons/report.gif (http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.org/private.php?do=report&pmid=15748) icone located on the upper right cornr of the PM. This should help to take care of potential spammers in a very effective way.
- The http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.org/images/buttons/forward.gif (http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.org/private.php?do=newpm&forward=1&pmid=15748) icon located in the bottom right corner of the PM.

I have not sent a PM or quote using the new upgrades don't think as yet.

However we are limited to four "smilies" per post which is fair enough for the writer. Is their any way we can quote a post with the original "smilies" and just be limited to our four on the post?

Sometimes when quoting a post I have to delete and edit the smilies in it to put my own smilies in. It does seem to take a bit away from the original poster I may be quoting IMHO.

Just a thought for consideration:)

I will look into that. Thanks for pointing that out!

And the little "medal" next to the "report spammers" icon on the right hand side which says "Add to "Joe Blog" reputation? What does this do / mean? Is this for complimenting a poster on the post?

Yes it is. To approve or to disapprove. If you put your cursor on the medal of any poster's post and click, it will open a window with two choice:
- I approve
- I disapprove
and a little box to allow you to add a comment.
This feature is interesting, because it allows you to influence the "reputation" of a poster (shown by the little green card displayed just under the number of posts that the poster wrote so far, situated at the upper rignt corner of every post.
The number of point that one will add or retrieve to the reputation of any poster depends on a number of factors.
A new poster has very little influence on other user's reputation, but with his/her number of posts increasing, his/her capacity of influencing other reputation will increase.
It is a good way for "long term posters" to also participate in the moderation of the forum.
Hope my explanation is clear enough... :)

I sort of get it but I am a little unsure and guess it will all become transparent once used- thank you. It sounds a bit " Kangaroo Court" like though - no disrespect. I say that as some people might be silly with it? I dont know I guess one has to try these things. I can see the benefits of the feature of being able to approve or disapprove of a post but also forsee some problems with it considering the great diversity of opinions from the posters. Well lets see eh. The "mouse happy" clickers will have a field day!!!!:D - no pun intended!

For your information, this feature exists since the very first day... :) So far, no problem. And to be honest the settings are quite conservative. If you, RD, ad "rep" to someone, it will increase or dicrease his/her "rep" total by maybe 3 or 4 points I think. A new poster, or a poster with less than 20 posts will have no effect in comparison. To start to have a second green card you need to reach more than 100 points. However if I give "rep", the receiver will receive about 25 points I think (need to check). Therefore, the one who really affect th "rep" of a user are definitively the MT.
You can check the amount of "rep" you have in your "user CP" (upper left corner of the screen) and check who gave you "rep" in the past.

One can... Below 0 point "rep", one's card turns red. It happens to light spammers and/or people who have been openly very rude to other menbers. It is often an intermediate status before the ban.

Thank you Atlantis!
You're welcome. I thought I have already pumped up your "rep" some time ago, but I have found out it wasn't the case. Now it is repaired. :)
You are a valuable member of the community, therefore you definitively diserve appreciations;)
