Where to begin...

I have previously worked in Indonesia & a few other countries in SEA - in operations (SCM) & manufacturing.

I might try get back to work in Indonesia but seems that opportunities/job postings are few & far between, places like Thailand etc. are much more 'accessible'.

Any of you have any clue as to what the most effective ways are to seek employment in Indonesia?

where did you work in indonesia before? me too, i have been looking for an opportunity to work in indonesia, and same as you, i am in manufacturing.maybe you could give me any information about manufacturing job in indonesia? my wife is indonesian and she helped me looking but still, it's not easy.

I previously worked in Surabaya. Would like to help you out but the direction I can give you is limited - which explains the thread. There are a few Jakarta based recruitment agencies to be found on the web but it seems opportunities suitable for my background are few and far between.
I think the key is to keep on looking (join recruitment mailings lists, join Linked In etc.), continously strengthen your competences & hope that by SBY getting re-elected, Indonesia will continue to open up for foreign investments and thus creating opportunities for foreign talent.
