I love Zep, specially stairway but I was too skint when I was young so I can't buy their tape/cassette then. Now I can I don't seem to have time to listen to them and also maybe because I can't put them in high volume (I love to have it 'high' as high as my player will let me) as my husband not as keen as me.

Ahhh...Stairway..brings back great memories. It was so long that when I was going to dances as a kid if Stairway to Heaven was played it gve me lots of time to chat the girl up..hahaha. Great times and memories..:D I loved The Doors, in fact I had all their albums and some bootlegs fro Paris. Gave them to my nephew who looks after them really well..no scrathes yet. I was into Pink Floyd..lots..and Mr depression himself, Leonard Cohen..haha..Ray

Why is it that no matter what Led Zepp album you mention, the stock response is always "I love Stairway!"? Physical Graffitti features a song that probably surpasses Stairway. In fact, both Jimmy Page and Robert Plant called it their best...

That's one of the DVDs that I lost in the UK when I moved here. Great film.
Still have blues brothers in wmv format (some good Tunes in that one) but I also lost one called 'still crazy'.
I'm open to movie swapping or donations is anyone wants. I have something short of 300 in wmv format including two series of 'yes minister' and two of 'Blackadder'. I also have all but five episodes of Voyager for any anoraks out there.:o

The whole lot come to about 60 gig.

I'm pretty well off on tunes as well but not much Zep.

Stairway To Heaven is by far the most played Zep tune on the radio. There are people who love it and don't even know who played it.

There used to be a radio station in Florida that played nothing but Led Zepp. When you tuned in, you knew what you were getting: 24/7 Led Zeppelin...Most amazing trivia about them is that Robert Plant was a mere teenager when he fronted their first album in 1969. Not bad for a 19 year-old kid singing (and playing the harmonica to boot!) the heaviest renditions of the Blues (Willie Dixon's You shook me, for example) the world had ever known till then with such verve...

I rather like Dolly Parton's stairway.

I think there is an album out there with many different acts performing the song.

Even Rolf Harris has covered it.

If you need songs Fred, LIMEWIRE.
