Hallo I'm looking to buy a 1950's to 1960's Classic-Car in Indonesia....can
anyone recommend any web sites, magazines or dealers to source them??

The weekly used car sale magazine MOBILAKU (www.mobilaku.com) has vintage cars. I saw a couple of late 1950s and 1960s Mercedes in there.

Hi Buddy, Are you looking for any car in particular? in what condition?

Pos Kota seems to be the go to newspaper for classic car hunters.

Yes I'm looking for Eurorean classic cars like BMW,BENZ,PORSCHE,FERRARI etc, condition does not really matter so long the car is original. Are there any places you can recommend in the likes of, Popular websites, magazines or auction places that do this soord of trade?

Below is a link to a Mini Cooper for sale on Kaskus. I did not look through the entire list, but unless you want a VW Kodok or an old Rover, the European pickings are slim. There was a 240Z listed earlier, but I do not see it now.

Hi Buddy,

I would check out Jl. Raya Pondok Cabe. This is the road leading to the small airport south of jakarta, there are many old benz' along this road.

For the other brands, I'm not too sure.

There is an E21 BMW in mint condition at Bestindo BMW in Bintaro, but I think they are asking more than 150jt for it.

I don't seem to find any quality european classic cars from the 50's and up, surely
there must be more places arround....who knows where to fish for the best place's?

One definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps it would be more productive if you got out from behind your PC and did some leg work to follow up on the suggestions you have been given, rather than simply posting the same message repeatedly.

Hi Buddy,
For your information, most of the users of this forum are brittons, americans, ossies, kiwis, german, chinese, koreans and some are even french. We also have quite a few indonesian users... but many of them live outside Indonesia!
I would advise you to start searching when you are already here which means that you can check by yourself bits of infos given here.

Sorry, Buddy, I guess I missed the fact that you are not yet in-country. Still, I think you have tapped out the forum members' info on the vintage car market in Indonesia. As has been suggested, you are just going to have to do your own fieldwork when you get here. Who knows -- perhaps there is the European equivalent of a Super-stock Dodge in a rickety old garage somewhere in Jakarta waiting for you to find it.
