Hi Anyone seen any Jars of beetroot or pine nuts on their supermarket travels?

Hi RD, I love beetroot and pine nut in my salad. I will be in Jakarta around July, if you want I could bring you a couple of pack pine nut but I don't think I can with beetroot though;). I could then posted for you or my sister most likely:)! Just let me know.

Beets are really available in tin cans. Here in Ubud, the supermarket carried the fruit itself, labelled as BEETH ROOTH...

Hey Little - thanks for that offer - very kind. I am not sure if I will be around in July..........
I am thinking maybe some one could offer a good alternative. I like spinach salad with pine nuts, shredded parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic and olive oil most days and have become a bit pendantic about it but I suppose some finely chopped cashews or pecan nuts would do so the best solution is for me to stop being so finnaky and adapt!!! Thanks anyway:)
