Any advise on safe and not expensive ways to send household items from indonesia to australia? I do not have enough for a container, smaller shipments and do not need them delivered quickly. shipping is fine.

Sorry,no I'm not facing that dilema yet...but I do know you can take the majority of your stuff GST/Import Duty free if that's some help.

You should be able to contact any forwarding company about an LCL (Less Container Load), where you are basically sharing a container.

Not sure about Customs.

Customs will still definately want to have a sticky beak, especially from Indonesia... Sumatran heads used to be very popular back in Oz.
Any idea of costs Mark.

Sorry Mate, no idea, but I'm sure there are tons of logistics firms that cater to OP's needs and handle all the necessary customs protocol.
