View Full Version : Is there any gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender people here?
I'm watching -The L Word- Showtime (American TV Show)
So I was just curious if there's anyone who is GLBT here.. not that it matters.. but it seems all the expat guys have already married to or in relationship with their Indonesian Lady
and the expat girls are mostly single or already involved with someone from their origin country.
They say 10% of the population is gay. so I'm thinking there must be one or two people here who are not straight.
It's 2.30 in the morning, I can't sleep, and I'm such a nosy person :p didnt mean to offend anyone. :p
I'm trysexual...
Any transmigrasi folk here?

This is a straight forum? SINCE WHEN? this is a forum for expats... not for the heterosexuals..
People like me will make fun? excuse me? i have lots of gay and lesbian friends. In fact, I like hanging out with them more than with straight people. they're much more fun and freeing. Call me anything but homophobic.
I'm not asking them to "come out". I'm asking if there's any GLBT people among these expats. It sort of implies, that means people who are already out.
I suggest you to google what "coming out" really means. I know plenty other forums where GLBt people are comfortable discussing their sexuality on the internet even if they're still in the closet in real life.
What was the point of this thread?
Lando, how would you say gays are treated here in Indonesia?

there was no point, really. i was just curious.
bad. really. people still think just because they're who they are, they'll hit on the first man/woman they see. and that's just ridiculous. and the worst part is people still think they HAD A CHOICE to be different.

with total anonymity of course .. :}

Seriously BA :D
Well i dont know about the people from this forum but last year when i was in jakarta i saw a couple transvestites dancing and running around all the cars at some place. I cant remember where it was but my fiance says that they live on the streets. She says she likes their company because they helped her a while back when someone tried to mug her, one of those transvestites beat up the mugger and saved the day :D

Doesnt matter. Why should gay people should feel free in a gay forum. please, people. Gay, straight, bi, we're all the same.
Jpopmusic.com is not a gay forum and yet they have this http://jpopmusic.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=43133&start=0
CarForum is not a gay forum either but they're very open to its members who are not straight www.carforum.net

Actually you're contradicting yourself with that statement.

What confession? Geez, don't be so homophobic. Most expats here are westerners and I don't know if you notice that in the west, people have more freedom to discuss their sexuality.
Homopbobia is not good for you, Ishtar.

Very often I go out with Gays and Lesbian but nothing different really..just like normal person... and..I dont mind hanging out with them either...
San Francisco is the "Official Gay Capital" of the world and you have no idea of what the term....Freedom....really means unless you attend the world reknown "Gay Pride Parade" or the "Folsom Street Fair". Liberties abound buddy...let me tell you.
I did see a few tranvestites in Indonesia, one area in particular and they were as happy as can be, just dancing in the streets and carrying on like it was their birthday. I was a bit shocked at first as my initial impression of Indonesia was "absolute repression" but after seeing what a glorious time these guys...excuse me gals were having; I thought to myself
Wow...SF, LA revisited.
BTW, beyond a shadow of a doubt, my city's number #1 in the US:)
Live and let Live....need I say more?

Thats the stuff B, and I don't want anybody referring to me as that lezzy bitch anymore.........
Ehm, I am gay so you can count me in the 10% hehe.:D
Yeah, nevermind, we're all the same but all different, everybody has their preferences, likes and dislikes.Wouldn't do for us all to like the same things. If those guys want to be gay, let 'em, leaves more ladies for us, right boys?

Do I detect a little modified Blackadder there?
Remember Edmund going to the quack when he fancied 'Bob'?
If you don't, I have all four series and the specials in WMV format. That and a bit of portable data storage will correct that sad state of being.
I'm unsure anyone actually decides to be gay. I suppose people just are or not. Still, the effect is much the same. More totty for the lads. :bounce:

I've had that one here. I was walking down the street in a nearby town.
Doing nothing but mining my own business and enjoying a look around a new town. A lad walked up and asked if he could suck me.
I'm a bit 'live and let live' but that's well OTT for me.
He was told he would get something hard in his mouth if he didn't bog off but it would have five clenched fingers attached.
No you dirty sods. Not my fingers clenched around that. :bounce:

No,this is just me,totally original and so funny (to look at, at least). Was never into Blackadder personally, as it's a bit tame for my tastes, and a bit gay too, no offense.

I like the daft comedy and Blackadder hoits the spot for me.
Not to worry about offence, I'll pop to Jogja and spank you over a pizza.
Unless pizza hut is too gay. :bounce:
'Out' gays and lesbians make up a very small minority of the population but a somewhat larger proportion of the most talented part of it.

That has some truth in it. Look at Freddy Mercury. Bloody genius.
