bringing dogs to balikpapan

hi . we are about to move to Balikpapan. i understand that locals dont like dogs, but the expat communitiy is big on their pets. are there many pets shops availABLE FOR BUYING good quilty food and treats. are there pet sitting services availABLE? can you take your dogs to the beach and parks? any info would be appreciated.
