View Full Version : Getting social / budaya visa in KL
I am going to apply for my first social / budaya visa in KL or Penang this week. I could probably do it myself, but to save time and trouble I would like to use an agent.
Can anyone recommend a reliable agent in KL or Penang? I presume that the agent organizes your sponsor letter?
And when you extend the visa, do you need to have the same sponsor?
See here how to get the sosial budaya visa in Kuala Lumpur

I don't know any agent , but maybe a travel agent can do it .
The process is so easy that it is not necessary an agent .
Ok, thanks. I did read your post. I am thinking now it might be better to organize it myself.

Definitively right. As a matter of fact I should be in KL on monday 16th. If you are around at the same time, let me know. I'll help you.
I just got a 60 day tourist visa for now in Penang. I should be more organized next time to get the sponsorship thing going.
Regarding sponsors, does the sponsor need to show bank account info to immigration?

Never heard about , but it is possible to be requested by immigration because the sponsor is financially responsible for the foreign person . Once my sponsor was questioned about not having an occupation , but the officer was satisfied by the explanation without requiring the bank account statement . Because of that , I believe it is better to be prepared or choose a sponsor with an occupation ( before I got an engineer and now , a policeman , this way no other information regarding the sponsor was requested)
Thanks Marcus for the reply.
