i am movong to Lombok to live in late march and greatly looking forward to it.
love to hear from any of you guys currently living in lombok or what your views are on it.

yeah definately not a virgin after it is f###ed by the construction of the new international airport starting later in 2009. Already land prices are shooting up and all the main hotel chains are looking at opening up the sort of hotels they alrady have in Bali.

bali was nice 10yrs ago before the major hotels moved in and hiked up prices.
i am hoping the local government keep this in mind with regards to developement of lombok.
the area i am moving to sekotong still has yet to have any major developement.
and i am definately not a bali virgin..nice thought though..
all those australian and american tourists...geezz...enough to make me sick...

Hi lombok, wellcome and nice to be your neighbour :) ... i'm a sumatran but live in Bali for long time already. Out main business is construction and we are going to start moving our operation in to your area (sekotong) to build some villas/resort for a japanese investor. it's true sekotong is still a quiet area but fyi most of the lands there already sold out to investors so it may be different in the next 5-10 years.
