Change your moderator title! "Invisible horse" might fit, if you need some tip to start with. You get the power to remain unseen like our Super Moderator, don't you?

The first thing that come in my mind:

Le roi est mort, vive le roi! (really don't know how translate "vive" : The king is dead, vive the king... someone have a better translation?)

But the king is still alive, so that don't apply...

Anyway... Felicitation!

Hi Hombre,
Welcome back. I guess that if you check your PMs, you have an answer sent by Mas Rob which expresses and resumes the opinion of the 5 moderators. We had some delays in reaching the 5th mod which explain a bit of delay in addressing your post. The more we are, the more it involves an heavy communication which isn't facilitate by the fact that moderators live in both hemisphere.

Anyway, a quick read of our Posting Guidelines, as it has been suggested, would have lead you to our reasons.

Again, we are happy to see you back. If you have any questions concerning moderation, feel free to use PMs or emails, which are the appropriate way to communicate with us. Thanks.

Yes - you basically just contradicted atlantis- as he says all 5 mods are involved in chopping up hombres writings... and it is dull if we ain't fast enough to read them before you lot take the scissors to them...
:p
and to be fair I live inside this forum- I clean up your droppings pony and I am always falling over atlantis's wine bottles... so if i missed it you guys must have been over it like a rash.

Sigh... back to sweeeeeeeping the floors... @mas rob- must yo really do that there- use the bathroom please...:p

Pony may be refering to a PM he's received from Hombre concening a thread written two years+ ago and deleted by paman that ponyexpress had no chance to be aware of, not having been a user at the time. That's just a wild guess anyway. He will explain better than myself his own comment, but it was definitively not about the unanimous mod's decision. It didn't take long to us to reach it.

Basically, there are rules that all have agreed to follow upon registration and that are available by pressing a link at each bottom of this site's pages, plus often stickied in each major channel. We can't say that they are hided. One of them is to abide by moderators requests. When a moderation decision is taken we ask the users to respect it. However, any comment, suggestion or appeal are welcome but have to be done following the procedure highlighted in our Posting Guidelines. Though he had the possibility to do so, Hombre has choosen not to comment on his temporary ban, even though he was invited to do so here (http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.org/showthread.php/19258-Hall-of-shame?p=204009&viewfull=1#post204009) (last two paragraphs).

Today, he resumed posting. It was, as per his words, an attempt at "providing constructive and playful criticism for the new moderators". Well we have not read ONLY like that and we have estimated that the board was not the place, as it is not the place for bickerings or over-advertising for example. The aim of the forum and it's policy has been drafted and are clear. Therefore, we have removed the comments concerning bans and infractions which were included in the post and sent him the following message:

Hombre,

Welcome back on the forum from the moderation team (wm, paman, atlantis, mas rob, ponyexpress).

We all consider that you are an asset to the forum and hope you will continue to share your knowledge and opinions with fellow forum members.

Though we appreciate your willingness to assist the moderation team with your insights, the board is not the place to question decisions of the moderating team or the moderation policy, as stated in the Posting Guidelines. This is why we edited your posting on this thread http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.org/showthread.php/19415-Congrats-to-ponyexpress-and-Mas-Rob?p=206409&viewfull=1#post206409 after discussion and unanimous decision.

Further, we would like to remind you that your temporary ban from the forum was approved by the complete Moderating Team. You were invited to contact us and contest the decision in case you had objections to the ban. You let this possibility go by. In our view, this means that any further discussions on the particularities of the ban is without any purpose or meaning.

As said, we consider you as an asset to the forum, but we are not willing to make an exception by mitigating with the Posting Guidelines in your case.

The mods team

Case closed.
The decision belongs to him to post or not to post, but if he choses the former, it has to be in line with our Posting Guidelines.

What a loss ! Pony's posts use to be a good read and see now, suddenly they seem more mature, responsible, careful and what not, after effects of becoming a moderator, I guess :mmph:
