Is there anyone on this forum involved with the Oil & Gas Industry? I am contemplating purchasing products or rather brokering product. I would appreciate some insight into local companies and if possible contacts would be nice.

What type of product specifically?
To supply to any of the majors there is a requirement for local content which normally puts imported materials at a disadvantage over indigenously manufactured goods.

I'm actually looking for suppliers those working in departments for refined and raw fuel who is interested in selling the products to foreign private investors. Basically I'm considering brokering. I'm seeking to match buyers with sellers and vice versa. If you have any knowledge or contacts, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm particurlarly interested in various grades of crude and diesel fuel, as well as natural gas. Looking to find a supplier that is willing to sell to foreign company. Learn of the requirements and get the ball rolling from there. Obviously you've got some insight, please share more, either here or PM:)

Actually Micky, this is good info as well...I will need info on shipping, logistics is your area...so please the more info the better. I would just like to know if its possible to purchase as a private company...from what I have gathered...the process seems to be, all companies give priority to Pertamina first (don't know if selling to others outside Pertamina is allowed) and if a person/company wanted to purchase oil or gas (refined & raw) they/it would have to buy through Pertamina.
Not sure if I'm on the right track, but if companies are selling products, then through my cousin (who has a Dallas Texas based company) we would look to match buyers with sellers and sellers with buyers.:)

We've discussed thru YM as u asked. I work in oil&gas industry. We provide EPC thru Comissioning to process package in onshore, offshore. As i know if u want to buy some pieces, unavailable here. Except if u've ltd / overseas company and make contact to oil&gas company in head office.
Note that not many oil&gas company make money in Indonesia. As i know, there're several top ten company i.e ConocoPhillips, Exxon, Amerada Hess, BP, Total E&P Indonesie, ...
Generally, u can observe in company report which has attached in their website. I've been many years thru recent in oil&gas industry. I started with ConocoPhillips when i studied.

Thanks naratama...don't see u online much? But yes...lets look into developing some ideas, again I'm interested in those selling and buying oil or gas derivatives...but there could exist an opportunity with equipment and things of that nature. If your company is looking for an avenue or contacts in the US...let me know. I've got family members there dealing in commodoties and this is specifically their field of interest!!!:D

i think what u asked relate with producer in Ind known as PSC company - production sharing contract. u can browse BP Migas website as gov representative to this sector. if u can found it, there're major and minor PSC player complete with area consession.
i work in OG also and PSC as my client, with EPCI scope of work to upstream production onshore / offshore facility. dont hesitate to reply if need more discussion.
ps i look Tim and Akhan has respond. i think they're more expert
