Train Tickets and Prescription Medicine

Greetings expats. I will be arriving in Jakarta on 29 January for two months in Indonesia. It is my plan to take the train to Yogyakarta on 31 January. I have the following questions.

1. Can I purchase train tickets at the airport or do I have to go to Gambir? (I tried to purchase them online but it does not seem to be possible.)

2. Can I purchase Lipitor and Benicar (cholesterol and blood pressure medicine) at a pharmacy in Indonesia if I show the pharmacist the US prescription bottle and dosage or must I find a physician to write me a prescription?

I think you could try to find KAHA Tour and Travel in the airport, ask them about the train ticket. But if they don't have it, then you should go to gambir by bus or by taxi.

Lipicor i saw it before at a pharmacy in surabaya, but i don't know about benicar, i think you don't need to find a physician here to get the prescription.

Honestly, you should bring 2 months of Meds with you, here, sometimes you don't know if you are buying the real thing or the fake.........

I also heard that many medicines may be fake here . If necessary I would suggest you to buy at a hospital's pharmacy . And if a prescription is necessary , a consultation to a non-specialist doctor costs only USD5 , here in Bandung. I checked (www.mims.com) and Lipitor is legally sold here but not Benicar . Checking the Benicar's generic drug name (olmesartan medoxomil) , I found "Olmetec" from Pfizer , also legally sold here in Indonesia .
