Hi,
I joined the forum about five years ago, and although I wasn't really active but I'm happy to find the new look of the website today. I'm an Indonesian girl who loves traveling (SEA and Europe). It would be nice if I could get some advices from the people here regarding to my trip. Anyway, it's nice to be here :)

Luv,
Scoobie

Hey there....

Japan...(Way to damn expensive, but the No Hands Sushi Bars...will blow your mind, and Disneyland Tokyo for the kid in you or me rather!!!)

Hong Kong...Chowloon Bay is awesome and if you remember Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon" Film...you can see and ride the Junk Boats (Duck is nice also and there is Salsa Club thats a must do...I will check my notes and get you the name a bit later)

Taiwan...Taipei 101 (tallest building in the world), the island is nice and people are cool...stay away from shopping inside Taipei 101, its expensive!!!

Laos...Ban Pakham, Souvannabanlang Rd, Luangprabang, Lao P.D.R is the address of a family run "Hostel" in Luang Prabang and its clean!!! (But they'll gonna charge you 50 Bucks per night...i know it's expensive, but my buddy from Germany, Phatthanna...well his parents own it and its my home when I'm there.)

Cambodia...Take a look at Phnom Penh and Angkor Wat...also just north of there is a small town called Basak (fishing village if you like that sort of thing), its definitely up and coming, hotels and shopping malls etc!!!

Burma(Myanmar)...Nay Pyi Taw is the most happening place, be careful of the nightclubs **again I will get you the name of some nice ones, but don't expect the latest tunes...mostly 70's (anyone remember Ah huh Ah huh I like it Ah huh Ah huh. KC & The Sunshine Band cuz I think its the national anthem), they are known for slipping the "gooh ay???" (some drug that makes u pass out in drinks, girls r notorius for this) and there are heroin addicts everywhere. so be careful!!! Followed by Rangoon, Mandalay and Pye.

Thailand...It is what it is, Changmai has Bungi Jumping and a Really Really nice temple, forgot the name but everyone knows it. (couple thousand stairs at least, but I braved it, only go early morning or late afternoon as when you enter the temple, you gotta remove your shoes and the marble is SCORCHING!!!), then yes the usual Bangkok, Phi Phi, Phuket etc...I love it all...***PS, forgot to mention, the women love you long time!!:D which loosely translated means Hello!!!

Vietnam...Hanoi, Saigon are the major places to be for me, night life is cool but there is Chicken & Chicken Hawks (guys who kidnap pros and if you happen to be in the vicinity of eye they are eyeing..get out of dodge!! Never witnessed it, but heard some horror stories from Expats...Why is it that We (Expats always have the damnedest stories???) also a must see is Vung Tao south of Saigon...wonderful beach where you are actually encouraged to fly a kite for fun and not as a derogatory comment:D

Sorry...I've got a couple more places of interest...but I'm tired already so will fill you in with the rest next reply...hope u understand its 2am!!!:D
