Questions on Indonesian Consulate in LA

Hello everyone,

I have question on how long;
1. Lapor Diri
2. Perpanjang Passport
3. Ubah nama belakang ke nama suami
take place at Indonesian Consulate in LA, USA? (Hours, days, weeks?)

also 4. How far is their office to LA airport?
5. Hotels nearby with best deal?

1. Lapor Diri
In any KBRI or KJRI of the world this procedure is quite simple because it requires just to fill a form and to give a pic or a couple of pic. There is no fee for a Lapor Diri procedure but you usually need to show a valid Paspor RI.

2. Perpanjang Passport
It shouldn't be long providing that it is a renewal, not a report of lost, an that you have all the needed document. Her is the link on the page of their website. You can even download the Perdim 14 document that you will need to fill, and I wouldn't be surprised that you could do the procedurefrom distance and get it mailed. More infos:

3. Ubah nama belakang ke nama suami
No clue. Ask them by sending a quick email. They must have a contact page.

I did call them, however they put me on different person for different question which not all questions were answered (they said "it depends on..." - I assumed different situation has different result). The website helps a lot, I have all those documents ready. Thank you soo much!
